H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, led senior management and officials to participate in the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM), the ASEAN Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, and related meetings, held virtually from 7–10 April 2026.

The meetings reviewed and discussed developments in the global and regional economic outlook, progress in ASEAN financial integration, and strategic directions to further advance integration. Particular emphasis was placed on capital market development, regional financial and payment connectivity, and strengthening the resilience of the financial system.

On this occasion, H.E. also held a bilateral meeting with the US-ASEAN Business Council and participated as a speaker in a panel discussion on technological advancements and the application of artificial intelligence in the banking sector.
