Internships
Internships are a valuable way for students to gain experience in the professional world. Over the years, the NBC has opened our doors to university students who wish to gain a better understanding of central banking operations through offering internship opportunities.

To apply for internship with the NBC, students must:

• Be in the third or fourth year of studies at the university.
• Submit a purpose statement on why they want the internship.
• Submit a letter of recommendation from the rector of the university to the management of the NBC.

While we welcome all students to apply, most students will generally pursue studies in; economics, finance, banking, law, and accounting. Once students are accepted for the internship, the student and the NBC setup a mutually convenient work schedule. Students may apply for an internship at any time during the year. The duration of the internship can be from two weeks up to one year, depending on the student's schedule and their university requirements. Internship students are required to follow the NBC’s rules including punctuality and attendance.

Upon completion of the internship, the NBC will recognize the service of the student by issuing a certificate of performance. The internships are not paid, however students gain valuable experience, exposure to the professional world, networking opportunities, and build their CV making them more attractive to prospective employers after graduation.
