On 2 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, received a courtesy visit from a senior delegation of Hattha Bank, led by Mr. Kenichi Yamato, shareholder representative, at the National Bank of Cambodia’s Wat Phnom office.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Hattha Bank’s representative to brief H.E. the Governor on its operational performance, business model, and updates on branch operations. During the discussion, Mr. Kenichi shared the bank’s performance, key challenges, and long-term strategic plans. He highlighted Hattha Bank’s commitment to full compliance with applicable regulations and sustainable operations.
In response, H.E. Dr. Chea Serey offered guidance and recommendations on the bank’s plans and encouraged the continued strengthening of the bank’s governance structure. She also emphasized the need to maintain an adequate branch network and sufficient human resources to support the bank’s operational goals, particularly alongside ongoing technological enhancements.
