The National Bank of Cambodia organized the training workshop on Prakas on Market Risk for Capital Adequacy Ratios in Deposit-taking Banks and Financial Institutions on 10th-11th June 2024, which was presided over by Mr. Em Kamnan, Deputy Director General of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia at Center for Banking Studies. 

This workshop aims to disseminate and provide detailed explanation on this new Prakas to the institutions so that they can prepare themselves to  implement the Prakas  in the near future. This training was attended by approximately 400 participants from deposit-taking banks and financial institutions. 

The Prakas on Market Risk for Capital Adequacy Ratios in Deposit-taking Banks and Financial Institutions is part of the capital adequacy ratios framework in deposit-taking banks and financial institutions. The National Bank of Cambodia will continue to organize such a comprehensive training workshop when new Prakas is adopted to strengthen the implementation of laws and regulations relevant to the banks and financial institutions.
