Mr. Ouk Sarat, Deputy Director General of Central Banking Operation and Director of Payment System Department, National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), presided over the Workshop on “The Development of the Financial Transparency Corridor (FTC) Project” On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, with representatives from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), led by Mr. Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief Fintech Officer of MAS, and national and international guests at the Center for Banking Studies (CBS).
The FTC represents a collaborative initiative between the NBC and MAS, designed to ensure the transparency and access of financial data and empower small and medium-sized enterprises by Banking and Financial Institution to facilitating cross-border trade and financial services between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Singapore. As part of the forthcoming phases, FTC project will encompass support for green finance and trade finance. This initiative is anticipated to bolster sustainability and enhance the export trade capabilities of both countries.
