On 24 February 2021, H.E. Rath Sovannorak, Director General of Banking Supervision and the representative of H.E. Chea Chanto, the Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, attends the virtual MoU signing ceremony between the National Bank of Cambodia and the International Finance Cooperation to implement of “Cambodia Supply Chain Finance Market Development” project in order to assist the Royal Government of Cambodia in increasing private sector development. Having seen the importance of small and medium enterprises in national economic improvement, this project is fully aligned with the key priority of promoting innovative credit products for SMEs set in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2019-2025. The result of this project will serve as a pathway for policy setting and improving SME finance ecosystem in Cambodia through strengthening regulatory support, enhancing market knowledge and practice, and developing favorable ecosystem.
