H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), led a consultation meeting with a delegation comprising government agencies, business leaders and relevant stakeholders to discuss the development of Bakong Tourists App on July 24, 2024 at the National Bank of Cambodia.
The meeting aimed to gather feedbacks and foster collaboration among stakeholders for the development of an app intended to boost tourism industry in Cambodia.
The Governor outlined the benefits and features of the app, which is expected to attract more foreign tourists to Cambodia, complementing the existing tourist attractions such as culture, tradition, history and the natural beauty. The Governor emphasized that Bakong Tourists App will also promote national pride by offering international tourists modern digital payment experience.
Participants expressed their appreciation and showed their supports for this initiative, getting ready to collaborate closely with the National Bank of Cambodia to expedite the development of the app and ensure its timely launched.
