On 18 May 2026, on the sideline of the Tsinghua PBCSF Global Financial Forum, Governor Chea Serey held a meeting with Mr. Oliver Jenkyn, Group President of Visa Inc.

The meeting discussed current cooperation between the two institutions on various payment initiatives including on Bakong Tourist. Possible future cooperation on areas such as fraud detection and improving interoperability of Bakong with other payment ecosystem were also discussed.
